About Us Who we are
We strive to provide a positive and uplifting experience for everyone through Random Acts of Kindness (RAK).
Who we are
Hometown Kindness highlights the positive interactions and supportive community you experience when living in your hometown, often including friendly neighbors, familiar faces, and a sense of belonging. Our mission is to partner with local hometowns and communities across the country to help foster close-knit communities where people know and respect each other.
Why people love their hometowns
- Familiarity: Growing up in a hometown creates a sense of comfort and security.
- Community: Hometowns often foster close-knit communities where people know each other.
- Memories: Many personal memories are tied to a hometown, including childhood experiences, family traditions, and milestones.
Why we do what we do
- To foster community connections. We believe that communities can grow when connections are created and strengthened through kindness. People have a stronger sense of belonging and social cohesion when they are connected through kindness.
- To create a ripple effect. We know that every small act of kindness can have a ripple effect, inspiring others to be kind.
- To create a sense of belonging. We believe that we can help people feel more connected to their community and promote a sense of belonging.
- To inspire change. We believe every act of kindness has the potential to inspire positive change in the world.
- We are not affiliated with the RAK Foundation, but we support their beliefs and mission.

Our History Hometown Kindness
In 2024, I recognized that all communities are made up of friendly neighbors and families that are the backbone of their community and have a sense of belonging. The ever increasing negative use of social media at times reveals the darker side of people which often disrupts the peacefulness of their community.
In an effort to counter this general negativity, I decided to share uplifting and positive stories about the people in our communities one community at a time through this website, postcards, and magazines.
In addition, I strive to partner with hyperlocal businesses that support these communities and highlight the invaluable services they provide to keep our homes and communities safe and functioning.
I have also partnered with the Random Acts of Kindness Foundation to share many of their resources.
I encourage you to email us uplifting stories, recipes, photos, etc. to add to our website and publications.
If you would like to be an Ambassador for your community, please contact me.
Also, if you are a business owner that serves one of our communities and would like to be added to our business directories, please contact me.
Check back often for new information.
Have a blessed day.

First Community
I created this website and launched my first postcard in December 2024 for residents located in Huffman, Texas and primarily the community of The Commons of Lake Houston in which I lived. I also created a business directory for this community.
